Cesar Chavez

1-Cesar Chavez was an american citizen he was born in Yuma, Arizona

2-Cesar Chavez became a migrant worker because his family lost there farm in the great deppresion

3-Cesar Chavez attended more than 30 elemantary schools and middle schools, he than joined the U.S. NAVY in 1946.

4-The CSO is a Community Service Organization he worked as an organizer there and then he was promoted to president of the CSO. In 1962 the organization turned down his request to organize farmworkers and he resigned.

5-They all fought non violently which showed they were good people and they would emphazise by words.

6-The Braceros were farmworkers they woud hire them because they were good and cheap.

7-Other than latinos Felipinos helped achieve equality for minority farm workers.

8-The UFWA organized a boycott against the grape company. The boycott was unsuccessful.

9-Grandpa mentions John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr. and Cesar Chavez. Cesar Chavez was important to grandpa because he made him realize that they had rights.

10-By telling stories of Cesar Chavez and his accomplishments.

11-El Cortito was a hoe that was 24 inches long it caused people to bend over all day and that led to debilitating back injuries. El cortito was outlawed in 1975.

12-Cesar Chavez left a law limiting pesticides being used by grape companies. There are monuments left after him and also schools.

13- "Years of misguided teaching have resulted in the destruction of the best in our society, in our cultures and in the environment." This has taken great affect to me personally because i have been taught by bad teachers and i dont learn anything and i fall behind do to that.

14-I value determination and knowledge the most. I value determination because i believe if you are going to accomplish something you have to be determined to do it. I value knowledge because without knowledge you are nothing knowledge is the key to your life and everything you know.

Euthanasia

-1a George performed euthanasia on Lennie because he felt that Lennie did not have a good life.Lennie was always getting into trouble without intending to do anything mean.Also to add to it Lennie was mentally ill.

-1b That was not the best thing to do for Lennie.No one deserves to have their life taken away from them.Also it's not like Lennies life was all bad.They actually had hopes and dreams.George di a cruel thing to Lennie.

-2a The father performed euthanasia by pulling the plug that kept his daughter alive.The father performed euthanasia because his daughter had been in a vegatative state for 17 years.The main reason the father performed euthanasia on his daughter was because he loved her and he hated to see her suffer.

-2b Of course i agree with the father's decision to perform euthanasia on his daughter.if my daughter was in a vegatative state for 17 years i would have done the same thing.At least i know she wont be suffering anymore and that shes in a better place now.The point is there is nothing wrong with wat he did.

-3a Mr. Lupoe was paranoid about losing his job at the hospital and by that they lose money,their home and many things.He felt like he couldn't give his kids and wife a good life and by that he would be failing as a husband and father.Mr Lupoe was probably feeling pain and sadness as he had to kill his wife and kids.

-3b There are many ways to support your children and two main ones are showing them that you will always be there for them and you will always love them no matter what.Also you should encourage them to stay in school so that they can have a good job with good pay.Lastly keep your chin up if you still have hope your children will know that there is hope for something.

-4 My view on euthanasia is that it is a mean and cruel thing.But sometimes it is a requirement because the person is suffering.Like in the story about the man that performed euthanasia on his daughter by pulling the plug that was keeping her alive,it was a rerquirement because his daughter was suffering.Why i see euthanasia as a bad thing is because in the story about the man that killed his kids and wife.I believed that was not neccesary at all your kids still have a life ahead of them they can still be succesful.So in the end euthanasia could be a bad thing but sometimes it's neccesary.
